VisualSVN 5.8 Release Notes

Dropped support for Visual Studio 2005 and 2008

Please note that VisualSVN 5.8 no longer supports Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008, for which Microsoft's extended period of support ended on April 12, 2016 and April 10, 2018 respectively. If you are still using these versions of Visual Studio, please consider upgrading to a more recent version of Visual Studio before updating the VisualSVN plug-in to the latest release.

The oldest version of Visual Studio supported by VisualSVN 5.8 is now Visual Studio 2010.

Upgrading existing licenses to VisualSVN 5.8

All VisualSVN 5.x licenses are eligible for a free upgrade to VisualSVN 5.8 without requiring a change of the license key. The upgrade to VisualSVN 5.8 is also free if you use VisualSVN under the Community license.
